In this talk, Kyle Deeds and Benjamin Charles Germain Lee introduced GovScape, a public search system for 10 million government PDFs. They detailed their multidisciplinary collaboration and the constituent components of the project, including working with the End of Term Web Archive, building a pipeline for semantifying PDFs, and deploying their system. They concluded by describing the possibilities for searching government data enabled by GovScape, as well as their ongoing work to expand the system to the 100 million PDF scale.
